Ten new cases of meningitis

NEW DELHI:
The health authorities in the Capital breathed a sigh of relief on Tuesday with no more deaths due to meningococcal meningitis reported during the past 24 hours. With three deaths having been reported on Monday, the toll now stands at 26.
Ten new cases were reported in the Capital on Tuesday.
According to the Director (Hospital Administration) of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi, J. N. Banavaliker, LNJP Hospital has registered the largest number of deaths as also the largest number of admission. Other hospitals where a large number of patients are still admitted include Hindu Rao Hospital (41), RML Hospital (21), Safdurjung Hospital (22), GTB (18), Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital (11) and SDN Hospital (10).
