MANGALORE: The district health authorities have met 91.78 per cent of the targetin the second round of the Pulse Polio campaign conducted across the district on Sunday. A total of 1,69,022 children below five years were vaccinated as against the target of 1,84,196 children, according to the District Health and Family Welfare Officer, Mohanraj. The data in respect of taluks is as follows (percentage in bracket): Mangalore 47,448 (86.94 per cent), Mangalore City Corporation limits 25,354 (90 per cent), Puttur 25,601 (95.8 per cent), Belthangady 23,925 (94.3 per cent), Bantwal 34,034 (93.75 per cent) and Sullia 12,660 (96.5 per cent). Volunteers will undertake house visits in the rural and urban areas of the district to ensure that no child in the target age group is left out.
