House break-in

CHENNAI A:
house break-in was reported in a city suburb on Monday, in which a total of 28 sovereigns and Rs. 20,000 in cash were stolen.
Police said thieves gained entry into the house of one Rukmani on Gangai Amman Koil Street in Kolathur and took away 25 sovereigns of jewellery.
The house was locked and the resident had left the key on top of the entrance door, which made the intruders' job easy, police said.
Kolathur police are investigating.
