Teachers protest extension to PRC
Staff Reporter
HYDERABAD:
The Andhra Pradesh United Teachers' Federation has protested the month's extension given to the Pay Revision Commission, headed by retired IAS officer J. Rambabu.
In a statement on Tuesday, Ch. Subash Chandra Bose, president, and S. Narayana, general secretary, described the extension as "improper", as already the commission's term was extended on February 22. This had disappointed Government employees and teachers who were expecting the report to be submitted after May 22.
They alleged "inordinate" delay in the finalisation of report of PRC the term of which was over in June 2003. The delay of 22 months showed the Government's "negligent attitude".
