The ordinance would amend the Bombay Police Act, empowering the force to cancel the licence of a bar or restaurant if it violated the ban. Mr. Patil said the decision was based on the advice of the Law Department and the Advocate-General. Asked about rehabilitation of dance girls,Mr. Deshmukh said all questions would "get answered" once the ordinance was promulgated.
