This Day That Age
The Congress Working Committee is of the view that rules and regulations regarding censorship of films should be more strictly enforced. This is revealed in a letter addressed by Mr. Shriman Narayan, AICC General Secretary, to the Information and Broadcasting Minister, Dr. B.V. Keskar, conveying the views of the Working Committee on the matter.Dr. Keskar also sent a note on the subject along with the representation, saying that certain types of films had "definitely anti-social aspect." Production of such films in increasing numbers had posed a very ticklish problem both from the social point of view and from the point of view of national solidarity and security.
