Swamy's plea against Sonia's citizenship dismissed

NEW DELHI: An attempt by Janata Party president Subramanian Swamy to rake up the issue of Congress president Sonia Gandhi's citizenship failed on Wednesday as the Delhi High Court dismissed his plea to reopen the matter.

A Bench of Chief Justice B.C. Patel and Justice S.K. Kaul rejected Dr. Swamy's plea challenging grant of citizenship to Ms. Gandhi saying the writ petition in which the point was raised could not be reconsidered after its dismissal. - PTI
