KARAIKUDI: TCPL Knights Cricket Club, helped by Vijayakumar's six for 18, fashioned an emphatic six-wicket victory over Big Birds Breeze Brindavanam Cricket Club in the ninth and last match to top the table with 36 points and claim the Indian Bank-Sivaganga District Cricket Association `A' division league title here recently. Aruna Sports Cricket Club finished runner-up with 32 points. Oscar Cricket Club, with 32 points, claimed the `B' division title. AP Tech WBC Lab Software finished runner-up with 24 points. Young Blood Cricket Club won the `C' division title with 28 points and Jolly Rover Cricket Club finished runner with 24 points. The scores: `A' division: Big Birds Breeze Brindavanam CC 119 in 28 overs (Vijayakumar six for 18) lost to TCPL Knights CC 120 for four in 20 overs. Vanchi CC 218 for seven in 39 overs (Saravana Sundaram 49, Subramanian 58 not out, Vinoth four for 46) bt ACCET CC 161 in 31.1 overs. Aruna Sports CC 163 in 30.5 overs (Shankar five for 34) lost to TCPL Knights CC 165 in 33.5 overs (Balaji 47). Gangai Brothers CC 181 in 30 overs (Balamurugan 40) bt Devakottai CC `A' 138 in 25.4 overs. Sachin Brothers CC 148 in 27 overs (Pandian 58) lost to Aruna Sports CC 149 for two in 19.4 overs (Jothi 62 not out, N. Palamalai 40 not out).
