KOZHIKODE: Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode (IIM-K), will conduct a three-day management development programme (MDP) on Project Management on its campus at Kunnamangalam near here from June 2. Saji Gopinath is the programme coordinator.
Objectives
The programme is meant for persons involved in the implementation of projects, planning and monitoring of projects and executives in agencies which finance and \ coordinate the implementation of projects. The objectives of the programme include familiarising the participants with various network techniques used in project management, developing an understanding of the tools and techniques for effective management of time and cost in projects.
Hands-on training
The programme also looks at various issues including resource allocation, managing uncertainty, project budgeting, monitoring and contract management. The programme, through hands-on training in project management software, is designed to equip participants with necessary skills to manage projects.
