NEW DELHI: The Union Environment and Forest Ministry and the Health Care Foundation of India (HCFI) have decided to join hands for the forthcoming "World Environment Day'' on June 5. The theme this time round would be "Green City''.

"We would exhort people to wear something green on that particular day. At the very least, they can carry a green handkerchief. Just imagine the message that would go across with the Prime Minister donning a green turban and Ms. Sonia Gandhi wearing a green sari," the HCFI president, K.K. Aggarwal, said here on Thursday.

The occasion also saw the launch of a fortnight-long free counselling camp to educate people on the ill effects of tobacco use and related products. The camp starts this Friday at E-215, East of Kailash.

The HCFI, with help from the Delhi Medical Association, New Delhi Municipal Council and Union Ministry of Environment and Forests, has launched the camp as part of its anti-smoking drive in the run up to the "World No-Tobacco Day'' on May 31.

Some pretty faces from the world of fashion, Ignatius Camello and Neha Kapur, and the singing sensation from Delhi, Shibani Kashyap, have also lent their support to the noble cause.
