HYDERABAD: The CPI floor leader, Ch. Venkata Reddy, has demanded a judicial inquiry into the sale of properties of Indira Seva Sadan which was launched here by Indira Gandhi 50 years ago. In a letter to the Chief Minister, Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy, on Thursday, he wanted the Government to take over the institution which runs an orphanage, besides several educational institutions, with permission/assistance. Mr. Reddy, recalling his visit to the I. S. Sadan on May 6, said an inquiry was necessary as the trustee was closing the orphanage and hostels. He was also removing members who questioned him on taking up activities which were contrary to the spirit of the organisation. The IS Sadan issue was raised in the Assembly, with the Government assuring to take remedial measures after holding an enquiry.
