HYDERABAD: The State BJP's Legal Cell has opposed the Union Government's move to introduce the Communal Violence (Suppression) Bill, 2005, as it would be used to "victimise" the party activists on false charges. N. Ramchander Rao, convener of the cell, in a statement on Thursday expressed surprise over the move as the parties which opposed POTA as "draconian" were now demanding the Bill. The cell demaned withdrawal of the proposal.
