Missing girl traced

CHENNAI:
Shweta (15), the schoolgirl who was reported missing since Tuesday, was traced on Thursday and handed over to her parents by the police.
A senior police officer said the girl boarded an autorickshaw and reached the Royapettah area. She alighted from the vehicle in front of a theatre complex, where a group of students who saw the girl standing alone took her to a child helpline.
With reports about the missing girl appearing in a section of the media on Thursday, the helpline people informed the police who in turn alerted the parents.
