KOCHI: One person was hacked to death at Perumbannapadam in Paravur on Thursday. He has been identified as Munambam Abhilash, 30. Police suspect the crime to be a result of rivalry among criminal gangs, active in the area. Son of Thankappan of Kurijniparambu Veedu, Munambam, Abhilash was travelling on his motorbike with his fiancée Gilda, when a group came in a car and attacked him around 8 p.m. Abhilash died on the spot.
