Wakf properties survey to be over by Dec

HYDERABAD:
The Survey Commissioner of Wakf properties, Mir Munawar Ali, has said the second survey of the Wakf properties would be completed by December end.
The survey commissioned in 2002 has already covered eight districts and the remaining would be covered by the end of this year. Twelve teams of surveyors were on the job to identify all Wakf properties across the State. He sought the cooperation of the Muthavalis, caretakers and managing committees of the Wakf properties to inform the second survey team about the properties.
Interestingly enough, the second survey has been commissioned after a gap of 40 years. It was in the early 1960's that the first comprehensive survey of Wakf properties was done by the Government.
