HYDERABAD: Pulivendula, the constituency of the Chief Minister, Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, in Cuddapah district is set for a facelift.

At a meeting here on Wednesday, he reviewed progress of developmental works with specific reference to Pulivendula.

A State guesthouse, training centre for the disabled, hockey academy and mini sports complex, shopping complex and an underground drainage system are on the cards for Pulivendula.

Construction of buildings for Sri Venkateswara University Post-graduate Centre and Rajiv Institute of Medical Sciences, revival of Cuddapah airport, Vontimitta lift irrigation scheme, and revival of milk factory at Proddatur are also on the anvil. Dr. Reddy expressed unhappiness over the slow pace of housing scheme work in Cuddapah and Pulivendula and asked officials to complete 6,000 houses proposed under the satellite township in Cuddapah and model villages in Pulivendula by August-end.
