NEW DELHI: Asian junior champion Sanam Singh has been forced to delay his departure for the European circuit as part of the AITA's Grand Slam junior tennis team because of pain in his playing wrist. The 17-year-old Sanam will thus skip the ITF tournament in Belgium next week and directly reach Paris for the French Open, after getting medical treatment here over the next few days. "There is still pain at the wrist joint, but it is responding to treatment. I am hopeful of being fully fit by next week,'' said Sanam. The other member of the squad, Vivek Shokeen was brimming with confidence following a fine run in the five-week Asian circuit recently.
