BANGALORE: Four Indian players are in the qualifiers list for the men's and women's singles events in the World badminton championship, scheduled to be held at Anahiem, USA from August15 to 21. Arvind Bhat (World ranking 53) and Abhinn Shyam Gupta (55) figure among the qualifiers for the men's singles while National champion, Aparna Popat (No 30) and Trupti Murgunde (65) have made it to the women's singles list. In doubles, both the Indian men's pairs, Rupesh Kumar and Sanave Thomas (44), Jaseel Ismail and V. Diju (88) have qualified for the event and in the women's doubles, Shruthi Kurien and Jwala Gutta (40) have made the cut. The qualifiers list was based on the IBF World rankings as on May 19.
