Ritu advances

BANGALORE: S.P. Ritu defeated Apeksha V. Raker 8-2 and entered the semifinals of the girls' under-12 section in the Hothur State sub-junior ranking tennis championship at Sadhashivanagar Club courts here on Friday.

The results:

Boys' U-12 singles (pre-quarterfinals): Sharan Patil bt N. Adit 8-5, Rahul Adhikari bt S. Raghavendra 8-5, Chirag S. Igoor bt Chirag Mandal 8-5, Sumkuh bt Rohit 8-0, Evans Mirajkar bt R. Abhijith 8-3, Rohit R. Gowda bt Vikram Gowda 8-5,Vinod Gowda bt S. Kishen 8-0, Kashayap A. bt Narahari 8-5.

Girls' U-12 singles (quarterfinals): Spurthi Shivalingaiah bt Y. Laharishree 8-1, Likitha bt Surya Suresh 8-4, S.P. Ritu bt Apeksha V. Raker 8-2, Ch. Nidhi bt Namratha Prabhu 8-0.

Children U-10 singles (pre-quarterfinals): Evans Mirajkar bt B.S. Rahul 8-7, S.P. Ritu bt Prithvi Sagar 8-2, Spurthi Shivalingaiah bt Anoop Kumar 8-3, Shreyas Bharadwaj bt Ayaa Anwar 8-4, S. Kishen bt Nikitha Belliappa 8-6, M.V. Deshpande bt Harsha Manjunath 8-5, Ashok Kashyap bt S. Karthik 8-0.
