CHENNAI: : K.S. Vijayakumar and T. Mythili of All-India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, elected from Gummidipoondi and Kancheepuram in the May 14 byelections, were on Friday administered the oath of office as Members of the Legislative Assembly. Mr.Vijayakumar and Mrs. Mythili took the oath in Speaker K. Kalimuthu's office around 12 noon. The Speaker presented them shawls. Mr. Kalimuthu told presspersons that the AIADMK's strength in the Assembly had risen to 139, and the number of its women members to 21 from 20. Leader of the House and Finance Minister C. Ponnaiyan and some of his colleagues were present.
