Training camp for NCC cadets

CHENNAI:
An annual training camp for senior and junior division NCC cadets is on at the DRBCCC Hindu College, Pattabiram.
The camp is being organised by the 13 TamilNadu Battalion NCC Madras Group B. The cadets in the camp are given training in drill, weapon handling, firing, physical training and cross-country, bayonet fighting, unarmed combat and obstacle course.
The camp seeks to select and train probable cadets for the Republic Day Parade and Thal Sainik camps.
Lectures on health and hygiene, AIDS awareness and activities such as tree plantation and blood donation will form part of the schedule of the 14-day camp that began on May 16.
