THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The new recommendations of the ICC's cricket committee would make one-day matches more attractive, said Sunil Gavaskar the chairman of the ICC's cricket committee here on Saturday. The former Indian captain, who is in the city on a private visit, said the new fielding restrictions recommended by the committee 20 overs instead of the 15 overs currently in force in one-dayers and the options which the fielding captain has to enforce the restriction during the course of the match will do away with the predictability associated with the one-day matches. Gavaskar also said the choice of Greg Chappell as the Indian coach was the right one and he was sure that the former Australian captain would be able to mould India into a strong team.
