CHANDIGARH: The Haryana Government proposes to set up family courts to promote conciliation and secure speedy settlement of disputes relating to marriage and family affairs, the Chief Minister, Bhupinder Singh Hooda, said here on Saturday. Inaugurating the Dewan Atma Ram Auditorium at the Law Bhawan, he said that the request of the State Government to set up the first such family court at Faridabad was under consideration of the Punjab and Haryana High Court. He added that 16 fast track courts had also been set up for quick disposal of those cases which had been pending in various courts since long. Mr. Hooda said that his Government would set up modern judicial complexes at all sub-divisional headquarters. Already judicial complexes had been established in 17 districts and sanction for the remaining two had already been granted. It would also set up a National Law Institute in district Rewari. Justice N.K. Sud of the Punjab and Haryana High Court also inaugurated a Bhawan named after Ch. Matu Ram, the grand father of Mr. Hooda.
