PG course in textile management

CHENNAI: Sardar Vallabhai Patel Institute of Textile Management proposes to launch a postgraduate programme on apparel management to address the competitive environment following the abolition of textile quota.

Also on the anvil is improvement of its infrastructure with assistance from the Central Government. The autonomous institute comes under the Ministry of Textiles. At a meeting held on Saturday at Taramani, the institute's board of governors approved a proposal to construct an academic block with all modern facilities at a cost of Rs. 4 crores.
