VIJAYAWADA: A woman died under suspicious circumstances at Kankipadu late on Saturday. However, the police are charging her husband with strangulating her with a saree. The police said that K. Ranga Rao of Kankipadu lodged a complaint that some miscreants had entered his house on Saturday night, and decamped with Rs. 10,000 cash after killing his wife, K. Nagamalleswari. Based on a complaint from woman's family members, the police questioned Rao. He reportedly confessed to the crime, the sub-inspector, Srinivasa Rao, said.
