HYDERABAD: The police believe that culprits strangled B. Sridevi to death, pointing to the marks on her throat. A couple of pieces of broken bangles beneath the cot suggested that struggle ensued before the divorcee's murder. "Probably, the culprits planned to shift the body, but abandoned it in the flat for some reasons," the Chikkadpally Inspector, V.N.V. Satyanarayana, said. The victim's mobile was missing.
Couple had twins
A native of Bhadrachalam, the victim was married to a software professional, Srinivasulu, in 1993. The couple had twins -- Sneha and Vinay -- aged 10 years. A year ago, she reportedly divorced Srinivasulu, who took the children along with him to Dubai two months ago. The woman was living alone since then. She shifted to the flat in Chikkadpally 45 days ago claiming that her husband was living in America. Detectives suspect that she might have developed intimacy with some other person. Documents recovered from the house indicated that she was working with a call centre. A dog squad led investigators into a flat in which an employee of HSBC was working. The police learnt that a person, Praveen, who lives in America, had recently sent her a computer through one Bharat, who was not available when a police party was sent to his house. For her personal work, the victim generally used to take help of two persons -- Suresh and Sai -- working with local cable operators. Both of them are being questioned.
