Officials told to ensure adequate fish supply

HYDERABAD: Reversing the earlier decision by the Animal Husbandry Department, the Government here on Monday asked the Commissioner for Fisheries to ensure adequate supply of murrel fish fingerlings to enable the Bathina brothers to distribute the fish medicine.

The order for supplying fish was issued by the department after the Chief Minister, Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy, reviewed the matter. The Principal Ssecretary, Priyadarshi Dash, instructed the fisheries officials to procure the required quantity of the fingerlings and avoid inconvenience to the medicine-seekers.
