ERODE: The Development Commissioner, Small Scale Industries, Government of India, has permitted the Erode District Small Industries Association (EEDISSIA) to start a sub-contract exchange. Accordingly, the exchange was started from May 20. Under the scheme, all the capable small-scale industrialists may register their firm's activities and their capacity of production. The EEDISSIA, after registering their names, will help them to submit the details of the requirement of products by the big industries. The EEDISSIA representatives said after the small-scale entrepreneurs registered about their products, a team of various departmental officials related to the Industries Department would peruse the same. The sub-contract exchange will conduct buyer-seller meet in which both the big and small industries owners would be called for and their products would be exhibited.
