NEW DELHI: The Communist Party of India (Marxist) on Tuesday expressed the hope that the Bihar Assembly elections would not witness a division of secular votes once again. The objective during the Assembly elections in February was to see that secular votes were not divided. This time around, this objective had to be met, said Sitaram Yechury, senior party leader and Polit Bureau member. He said it was for Lok Jan Shakti Party leader Ram Vilas Paswan, to work out a secular alliance. He was a ``mature'' political leader who could take a decision. CPI (M-L) general secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya said the fight to uphold secular forces in Bihar was not separate from the one against corruption, crime, unemployment and poverty. There was a ``conspiracy'' to limit the politics in Bihar to the RJD-UPA and the NDA-JD (U) combine.
