NEW DELHI: The Full Commission of the Election Commission that met today in the wake of dissolution of the Bihar Assembly decided to send a two-member team to make an on-the-spot assessment of the situation in the State. Commission sources said the team, comprising Anand Kumar, Deputy Election Commissioner and S.K. Mendiratta, legal advisor to the Commission, would interact with the officials to review the State's preparedness to hold the Assembly elections. The team would also meet representatives of political parties, senior civil and police officials and hear their views on the timing to hold the elections. The team is expected to submit its report early next week.
