SOOTHING WORDS: Film actress and TDP leader, Roja, calling on a party activist at Nagari on Tuesday. The activist was injured in a clash between TDP and Congress workers recently.
TIRUPATI: Film actress, Roja, who is TDP's incharge of the Nagari constituency, on Tuesday created a flutter in S.V.R.R. Hospital. The actress got into an altercation with the hospital superintendent and duty doctors for allegedly yielding to political pressure in the discharge of three patients. The cause for her ire was that the doctor concerned had discharged all three TDP activists, who were admitted to the hospital on Saturday, after they were injured in a clash with Congress workers at Nagari. She alleged that it was at the instance of Nagari MLA, R. Chenga Reddy, of the Congress, that the duty doctor discharged the TDP activists despite their precarious condition. The hospital superintendent had a tough time pacifying Ms. Roja and said it all happened without his knowledge. The issue was settled only after the three TDP activists were re-admitted and treatment revived.
