Punjab Police posts win

Jamshedpur: Punjab Police's chances of making it to the elite group brightened as it beat HAL (Bangalore) 2-0 in the final round of the second division NFL at the Keenan stadium here on Tuesday.

A floater by Harish Sharma from the left flank was nodded in by Praveen Kumar in the 43rd minute and in the 55th, Parminder Singh doubled the lead after receiving a measured cross from Jaspal Singh. — UNI
