Deve Gowda to campaign for party in Shimoga

SHIMOGA:
The State Working President of the Janata Dal (S), H.D. Kumaraswamy, said here on Tuesday that the party president and former Prime Minister, H.D. Deve Gowda, will lead the party's election campaign in Shimoga from Thursday.
He was addressing a function at the party office after releasing a booklet on the achievements of the party in the district.
The party spokesperson, Y.S.V. Datta, said the contribution of the party's leaders such as Mr. Deve Gowda, the former Chief Minister J.H. Patel and the Deputy Chief Minister, Siddaramaiah, to the district between 1994 and 1999 will be publicised during the campaign.
He said some more booklets on the party candidate, L.T. Thimmappa Hegde, and the need for people to support the JD(S) will be brought out soon.
