Magic show against smoking

KOLLAM: Magician Gopinath Muthukad will hold a magic show here on May 30 and 31 as part of a campaign against smoking. The event is being jointly organised by the Thiruvananthapuram Magic Academy, the District Tourism Promotion Council and the Kollam Public Library. A photo exhibition titled `India: Illusion and Reality' will also be held in connection with the event. The exhibition will include photographs of Muthukad's Gandhi Sandesh Yatra, which began on October 2, 2004 from Vardha and covered 22 States and one Union Territory. On May 30, Muthukad will conduct classes in magic for school students.

The next day he will hold a magic show that will convey the message of the bad effects of smoking. This will be followed by a pledge against smoking.
