CUDDAPAH: The INTACH members should strive to identify and develop ancient historical and cultural monuments in Cuddapah district, the HUDA Vice-Chairman, Jayesh Ranjan, said on Tuesday. Speaking at a farewell function organised here by INTACH, Mr. Ranjan, who served as Cuddapah Collector for two-and-half years, said he would always remember the love and affection showered by the people of the district. The `Save a Child Heart' campaign and master plan to develop Cuddapah district and the developmental activities were possible with the wholehearted cooperation of several organisations and people, he said. He formally opened the INTACH Cuddapah Chapter office. The INTACH co-convenor and City Citizens Association president, Seetharamaiah, who felicitated Mr. Ranjan, lauded his services as Collector. The association secretary, N.N. Prathap, appreciated Mr. Ranjan's impartial services during the TDP and Congress Governments. The Cultural Affairs Council member, M. Janakiram, thanked his cooperation for allotting a site for Ramakrishna Math and described Mr. Ranjan as a soft-spoken official.
