CHITTOOR: All arrangements are being made for the successful conduct of a two-day rythu sadassu on June 2 and 3 at Veterinary College, Tirupati. According to official sources, the government has allocated Rs. 12 lakhs for the purpose. The Chief Minister, Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, will inaugurate the sadassu on June 2 at 11.00 a.m. and distribute loans to Rythu Mitra groups and farmers who have not received financial assistance earlier. In addition to this, seeds and units will be distributed while some 30 departments will set up exhibition stalls pertaining to their activities. A targeted 8,000 farmers are expected to participate in the sadassu.
