GUNTUR: The new president of the Guntur district Telugu Yuvatha, Kommineni Sambasiva Rao, said he will work hard to ensure the Telugu Desam Party's victory in the coming municipal elections. Committees from the mandal to the district level would be activated to ensure that all party workers work with dedication for the election of councillors in all the municipalities and the Guntur Municipal Corporation. The Telugu Yuvatha posts would be given only to those below 30 years and the party president, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, was very particular about this. Speaking to reporters here on Sunday, he said that the Congress Government had misled the youth with its false promises of providing 50 lakh jobs. The suicide by farmers, especially those who were below 30 years was a staggering 500, which shows the Government apathy to the problems of youth, he observed.
