THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Boeing 737-800 aircraft of Air-India Express, that came from Abu Dhabi - Muscat tonight, had been grounded at Thiruvananthapuram International Airport due to a snag in one of the tyres. Air-India sources said that the snag was detected after the aircraft landed at the airport. The aircraft was grounded as Jet Airways, which handles the maintenance of Air-India Express aircraft at Thiruvananthapuram, did not have a spare tyre. The flight IX-526/314 which arrived here at 6.35 p.m. was to leave to Kozhikode at 7.50 p.m. en route to Dubai. Air-India sources said efforts are on to bring the tyre by the Air-India flight from Mumbai, which is to arrive here early on Wednesday.The Air-India Express flight is expected to depart for Kozhikode after the snag is rectified by 6 a.m.
