In the first case, the police received a phone call claiming that a bomb had been planted at Rainbow School in Janakpuri, following which bomb detection and disposal squads were pressed into action. The entire building was combed, but no explosives were found and the call was declared a hoax. The police received another call around 11-30 a.m. claiming that a lunch box, suspected to be carrying explosives, was found abandoned in the Shahdara branch of Canara Bank in North-East Delhi. A bomb disposal squad checked the box and found only some eatables inside.
