LONDON: External Affairs Minister Natwar Singh has said that he was ``stunned'' by Sunil Dutt's sudden death. ``Sunil Bhai was one of my dearest and closest friends for the last 30 years. He was a ``compassionate, public-spirited and magnanimous human being.'' Mr. Singh, who was on his way to Senegal to attend a Foreign Ministers' conference, paid tribute to Sunil Dutt's ``passion'' for social work. ``Even at his age, he drove himself very hard. His passion to help and serve the marginalised, the needy and the neglected was unique. Ministerial trappings mattered little to him. Nevertheless, he brought lustre and poise to the UPA Government. My heartfelt condolences to Sanjay his son and all other members of his family,'' Mr. Singh said.
