HLL wins Bombay Chamber civic award
MUMBAI:
Hindustan Lever has received the Bombay Chamber Civic Award 2004 for the category of Community Development. The company's Vice Chairman, M. K. Sharma, received the award from the Finance Minister, P. Chidambaram, on Tuesday at a ceremony held in Mumbai on the occasion of 169th annual general meeting of the Bombay Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The company has won this award for its Project Shakti, a project aimed at empowering women in rural India.
