TDP complains against two Ministers

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has again lodged a complaint with the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), M. Narayana Rao, against the two Ministers -- J. C. Diwakar Reddy and N. Raghuveera Reddy.

The TDP had charged them with misuse of power, holding out threats to TDP workers and violation of the model code of conduct, while campaigning for the byelection in Penukonda constituency.

The party sought suitable action against the two Ministers and to restrain them from campaigning and from interfering in the election process. A party delegation led by T. Devender Goud met the CEO and submitted their eight-page petition here on Wednesday evening.

The leaders alleged that the Ministers were camping in the constituency and calling up sarpanches and other local leaders of the TDP to support the Congress or face dire consequences.
