NGOs invited to implement welfare scheme

PERAMBALUR: The district administration has called for applications from interested non-governmental organisations for the implementation of the working children welfare scheme.

In a press release issued here today, the Collector, D. Vivekanandan, said that the scheme aimed at providing support for child workers without family support, children of slum dwellers, drug addicts etc.

Applications and further details can be had from the Probation Officer, Department of Social Defence, Government Juvenile Observation Home, East Boulevard Road, Tiruchi, the release added.
