Table Tennis
HYDERABAD: The senior National table tennis championships will be held at Vijayawada from January 9 to 15 next year, according to S.M. Sultan, Vice-President, Table Tennis Federation of India (TTFI). Speaking to The Hindu on Saturday, he said the exact dates of the national-ranking tournaments of the west, east and central zones would be announced shortly, as also the inter-institutional championship. The TTFI has urged state and affiliated units to frame their respective calendars accordingly. The schedule: National ranking (south) at Trivandrum from September 21 to 25, (north) at Delhi from November 21 to 25. December 5 to 11: Junior Nationals at Shillong; December 27 to January 2: Sub-junior Nationals at Pondicherry. January 9 to 15, 2006: Senior Nationals at Vijayawada. — Special Correspondent
