NEW DELHI: Indian juniors lost all its matches in China but had the consolation of stretching the home team till the last quarter in the RBK Asia Cup basketball tournament. Six teams, three from China, and one each from Korea, Hong Kong and India participated in the tournament at the Jinan University gymnasium in Guangzhou, China. The 12-member Indian team comprised players from various schools and clubs. In its first match against Guangzhou Pan Yu School, which eventually made it to the final, Indians led till the start of the last quarter before losing 72-83. The Indians were summarily beaten by the eventual champion, Samil High School, Korea, in the second league match. In the last league match, India lost 70-83 to Shanghai School team.
