CUDDAPAH: An STD booth owner, S. Mahabub Basha, 29, was brutally stabbed to death allegedly by six brothers at Khader Hussain Masjid on Power House road in Proddatur town on Thursday evening. According to the police, a two-wheeler mechanic, S. Rahmathullah, 30, of Proddatur and five of his brothers chased Basha and surrounded him in the mosque, where he ran to save himself, and hacked him to death with knives. Police suspect that Basha was killed in retaliation to the murder of a mechanic, Shamsheer Basha, brother of Rahmathullah, in 2003.
