LUCKNOW: The Uttar Pradesh Government has decided to develop nine hi-tech townships in Ghaziabad, Agra, Lucknow, Kanpur, Varanasi and Mathura-Vrindawan. They would be developed by five companies already selected under the scheme to encourage private capital investment for developing hi-tech twonships, Housing and Urban Development Secretary J.S. Mishra said. He said Utpal and Chaddha Hi-tech Development (P) Ltd. and Suncity Projects (P) Ltd will develop a township each in Ghaziabad, while Unitech Ltd and IVRCL Narsi will do it in Agra. A township each in Lucknow would be developed by Ansal Properties and Industries Ltd and Sahara India Commercial Corporation Ltd, (SICCL) he added. Similarly, SICCL will also develop a township in Kanpur, while Unitech Ltd and Suncity Projects Ltd will develop a township each in Varanasi and Mathura respectively, Mr Mishra said. UNI
