Training programme

The Small Industries Service Institute will conduct a three month-long Entrepreneurship Development Programme on "Motor Rewinding and Transformer Winding" from May 27. Those in the age group of 18 to 35 years who have passed Class X are eligible. The fee is Rs. 3,000 for general candidates and Rs. 1,500 for SC/ST candidates, for whom there is an age relaxation of five years. Details may be had from D. Director-General's visit

The Director-General of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers, Lt. General V.K. Dhir, has visited 1 EME Centre and appreciated the improvements carried out to enhance the quality of training. During his visit on Wednesday to the Training Battalions at the centre, he was briefed on various innovative methods.

`MTV roadies' auditions

The auditions for the MTV Hero Honda Roadies will be held at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan from 9 a.m. on May 27. The registration closes at 4 p.m. The Roadies three team will be flagged off from Jaisalmer on June 13 and pass through various cities and wind up at Leh Lake on July 20.

Bengali festival
