VIJAYAWADA: The north Circle-Inspector, Siva Rama Krishna, on Thursday said that the blast occurred at a dustbin near the VMC Park in Kandriga Colony under the Payakapuram police station purview on March 23 was due to explosives normally used in crackers. In a press release here, the Inspector said that the forensic report stated that the material was potassium nitrate, potassium chloride and sulphur used for making crackers and was not harmful.
