Two killed as auto, bus collide

MADURAI: Two persons were killed in a road accident at Silaiman near here on Thursday.

According to the police, C. Mahesh (32) and K. Sathiah (13) of Paramakudi were travelling in an autorickshaw, when it collided with a Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation bus proceeding to Tirupacheti from Madurai. The duo died on the spot. The autorickshaw driver A. Kannan (35) of Tiruppuvanam suffered minor injuries. The Silaiman police have registered a case.
